Dwell With Dignity Thrift Studio Returns This Thursday

Thrift Studio is one of the events I look forward to most every year; it’s a great way to infuse some designer pieces into your home decor at a fraction of their retail price, all while supporting a great cause.

This year, Thrift Studio will take place at the International on Turtle Creek Design Center: 15o Turtle Creek Blvd., Suite 204. The preview party is this Thursday, April 10th, from 6 to 9 p.m., and the studio will open to the public the next morning. Thereafter, the pop up store will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., until May 10th. All proceeds benefit Dwell With Dignity, an organization that helps families escape poverty and homelessness through design.

A few of the designers that will have vignettes at the pop-up include Jan Showers, Culp Associates, Mecox, Robert Allen Design, SWOON, and David Sutherland Showrooms.

Make sure to come early; pieces sell out fast!

Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio Returns to the Design Center

Thrift Studio has become one of the Design District’s most popular events, bringing a pop-up design showroom whose proceeds benefit Dwell with Dignity. This time around, Thrift Studio will be at the Dallas Design Center from Oct. 11 to Nov. 10, and feature vignettes from some of Dallas’ most celebrated designers.

At the preview party tonight (and for the duration of the 30 day pop-up) you’ll see scenes designed by Cynthia Collins, Breckinridge Taylor, John Phifer Marrs, Laura Lee Clark, Lisa Luby Ryan, Stella Dallas and Peacock Alley. All vignettes combine used, donated or overstock furniture and accessories with high end designer pieces — everything is for sale, and everything benefits Dwell with Dignity!

Dwell with Dignity is a nonprofit organization made up of Interior Designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. They provide and install home interiors for families that include furnishings and art, bedding and kitchen supplies, and food in the pantry.
